Ralph Weld writes mystery, sci-fi, fantasy and poetry. Born in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina, he is retired from the U.S. Army. Besides being a a soldier, he also worked as a IT government contractor, gas station attendant, pizza maker, computer repair technician, big rig gas hauler, skid steer loader, and mulch deliverer. He has a B.S. in IFSM from the University of Maryland, University College, as well as a Creative Writing BFA from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. He earned his MFA from Seton Hill University. He resides with his wife near Charlotte, N.C.
